KWC Armaturen Relies on terreActive Internet Security Solution

Situated in Unterkulm in the Swiss Canton Aarau, this supplier of sanitary fittings for kitchens and bathrooms relies on security products from terreActive to secure its employees’ access to the internet and to exchange e-mails.

The IT coordinators at KWC knew that a simple firewall would not make for a solid security architecture. They were looking for a partner to set up and operate all of the components required to ensure a secure exchange of information with the internet. In their search, they came across terreActive’s email server and caching proxy offering, products that satisfy high security requirements.

These two servers were set up on the basis of Linux and terreActive’s proprietary package management system and integrated into the existing network without a problem. The caching proxy, which permits outgoing internet connections, was even upgraded to include user authentication with the existing Windows domain controller.

This allowed the customer to continue using the existing user database and assign internet privileges. This project showed us that we are spot-on with our product developments and the openness and flexibility of the solutions, for our products can hold their own in heterogeneous environments.
