In order to keep pace with trends in Security Event Management, the
Institute of Applied Information Technology (InIT) at the Zurich
University of Applied Sciences Winterthur (ZHW) has, together with
terreActive, created and submitted an application for a KTI project.
The application contains the continued development of tacLOG in the
areas of statistical analysis of security information and their
visualisation for secure optionation of complex and extensive IT
infrastructures.
With the accepted application terreActive is
now in a position to invest four man-years of R&D in tacLOG, half
by the university and half by terreActive. ZHW's costs will be carried
entirely by the Federal Government.
The partnership therefore
entirely fulfils its goal of allowing the university's research to flow
into its industrial partner's products.
We can expect the
first research results shortly after the project takes off, and these
can then be tested for everyday use by selected pilot customers. We
here at terreActive are very happy about the sponsorship and look
forward with great enthusiasm to the partnership with the university.
And maybe you as a customer can soon benefit from the results in the
form of a new release of tacLOG. We will of course keep you up to date
in our newsletter.
